Stefano Bettati
Prof. Stefano Bettati - Full Professor
Stefano Bettati is Full professor of Applied Physics at the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Parma. He has a MS degree in Veterinary Medicine and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Pathology.
His research activity is mainly focused on protein chemistry, biophysics and biotechnology: application of high-throughput proteomics to the detection of quality, safety and traceability of meat and meat products; evaluation of oxidation and redox potential; expression and purification of recombinant proteins; protein functional and structural characterization, and exploitation for biosensing and protein therapeutics development.
He is Vice-Chair of the Medicine and Surgery degree course, and a member of the council of SITEIA (Interdepartmental center for food safety technology innovation), University of Parma.
Within the School Council, he officially represents the Senate of the University of Parma.
